PHOTOGRAPHY WITH DIGITAL SLR

Homework Week: 2

This week Ron taught us Exposure & Histogram and asked us to use camera under different lighting conditions and practice exposure modes other than Programme, Auto  or any of the scene specific Auto modes. In other words to get good exposure , work with histogram and use manual or EV compensation .

In this photo Histogram is shifted to left (more dark pixels) so I changed the exposure to compensate to move histogram to more of a middle.

AUTO BRACKETING

Ron told us about Auto Bracketing to take three or more different exposures of the same scene to give us greater chance of getting the optimum exposure. One can combine these photos in either Photoshop or Photomatix software to cover the full tonality of the scene.  Here I have posted the examples of different exposure & finally the combined photo to cover full tonality of the landscape I took in Lake District one evening in rather very contrasting  lighting conditions.
